The architectural and park complex “Palace” is part of the hundred national historical sites in our country. Nestled between three steep shores, near the white ancient town of Balchik, this enchanting place has been pleasing our and foreign guests for years.

In the distant 1924, the small piece of Bulgarian land captured even the Romanian Queen Maria of Edinburgh, who decided to build her summer residence right here. The University Botanical Garden is located about 2 km from the picturesque town of Balchik and is part of the Architectural and Park Complex “Palace”, a cultural monument of national importance. The garden was established in 1955 and is a unit of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridki It was made under the leadership of Academician Prof. Daki Yordanov, who at that time was rector of the university.
